Nacero has chosen Haldor Topsoe to provide basic engineering and license of its proven TIGAS technology for its upcoming natural gas-to-gasoline facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. Topsoe will also provide proprietary hardware, catalysts, and services.
The upcoming plant will produce 35,000 bpd of finished, clean, high-value gasoline from low-cost natural gas using TIGAS technology. The result will be sulfur-free, cost-competitive gasoline.
The TIGAS process uses natural gas, which is often vented or flared today and converts the gas into a useful product.
The plant will also produce more than 10,000 mtpd of methanol which then further processed to gasoline. The only byproduct of the process is purified water.
"By making an environmentally superior gasoline from natural gas rather than crude oil, Nacero will enable drivers to keep their cars and help the planet,” Nacero stated.
