Author: SSESSMENTS

On Tuesday, the US Department of the Interior said that oil producers slashed 84% of the daily output, to 1.56 million bpd from the US Gulf of Mexico ahead of a hurricane estimated this week.

At the moment, Hurricane Laura is moving towards the central Gulf and on Thursday it is predicted to get 115 mph or 185 kph by landfall. As of midday Tuesday, energy producers have evacuated 299 production platforms and 11 drilling rigs.

Regulators said that the Gulf’s natural gas production is also crushed by 61% or 1.65 bcf.
