AlwaysFree: Oman’s October Condensate Output Hit Record High

Author: SSESSMENTS

In October, Oman’s condensate output hit a record high while still staying below its maximum crude output quota in the OPEC+ production cuts pact.

Last month, condensate production was up by 12% month-on-month or 24,000 bpd at 223,000 bpd, and broke the country’s previous record high of 221,000 bpd in July. Condensate production is exempt from the newest Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its non-member oil producer allies (OPEC+) oil output cut arrangement.

Crude output in the month was at 721,000 bpd, up from September’s 718,000 bpd and still in line with its production quota of 722,000 bpd.

The country’s crude exports of the grade Oman Export Blend was at 742,000 bpd last month, compared with September’s 736,000 bpd.

In the first ten months of 2020, Oman produced an average of 181,300 bpd of condensate, compared with 125,600 bpd in the corresponding period last year.
