Oman’s global integrated energy company OQ Group and petrochemicals giant Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) cooperate to study the development of a new petrochemical project in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm (SEZD).
The project involves a steam cracker unit (SCU) and derivatives units producing olefins derivatives (ethylene and propylene). It is estimated to use the feedstocks byproducts from the SCU.
