Mexico’s state-owned Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) resumed oil exports from one of its oil production and storage vessels in the Gulf of Mexico after an accident stopped exports earlier in July.
The 2.2 million barrels FPSO facility (floating production, storage and offloading) had stopped the loading of vessels for exports following the collision with the Olympic Future tanker on July 1 due to bad weather conditions.
According to a source familiar with the unit’s operation, repairs had been made which enabled exports to continue. However, the source did not specify the date that occurred.
Meanwhile, Pemex said that it had no knowledge of whether the FSPO had continued activities.
