Petkim increased its total production by approximately 2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, to 802 thousand tons. Petkim reached TL 2.8 billion in sales revenue despite the shrinkage in global markets, high volatility in exchange rates and the decrease in product prices.
From 788 thousand tons, Petkim increased its production by approximately 2 percent compared to the same period last year, to 802 thousand tons. During the epidemic of Covid-19 many petrochemical and refinery plants stopped production, while Petkim continues its production and commercial activities with high capacity.
Despite adverse developments such as shrinking demand in some types of products in the petrochemical industry, mobility in exchange rates and a decrease in product prices, Petkim has reached TL 132.8 million in its main operating profit.
In Q1, the company reduced its short-term liabilities by TL 682 million to long-term liabilities and managed to maintain its strong cash position.
While many companies are experiencing raw material shortages with the restrictions experienced throughout the world, Petkim obtains the required naphtha from STAR Refinery without any problem and in high quality.
