Petrobras, Brazilian semi-public multinational oil company, initiated the sale of its entire stake at set of eight onshore production concessions, which seven located in Urucu Cluster, Solimões basin, state of Amazonas, and another one is Sergipe-Alagoas basin, south of Carmópolis field. The Urucu Cluster covers the Arara Azul, Araracanga, Cupiúba, Carapanaúba, Rio Urucu, Sudoeste Urucu and Leste do Urucu, all located in the municipalities of Tefé and Coari, an area of 350 square kilometres. In the first semester of 2020, the cluster’s production was 103,000 barrels of oil equivalent/day, which 13.8 million cubic metre/day of gas, 16,200 barrel/day oil and condensate, and 1,100 ton/day of LPG. In addition, processing units for oil, natural gas and production support facilities are also included in the transaction, not only the concessions and their production facilities. Potential buyers who are deemed qualified in this phase will receive a process letter with divestment process’ detailed instruction along with due diligence guidelines and the submission of binding proposals.
On a separate occasion, Petrobras and Centro Oeste Óleo e Gás Ltda. signed deal for 50% stake in Dó-Ré-Mi onshore field, Sergipe-Alagoas basin, located in the state of Sergipe, and part of BT-SEAL-13 concession, which also covers the Rabo Branco area but not included in the sale. The field consists of two gas discovery wells without commercial production, and the sale value is $37,600 paid in a single installment at the signing date. The other 50% is owned by the operator, Petrogral Brasil SA.
