On Wednesday, Petroleos Brasileiros (Petrobras) announced that its REMAN refinery is sold.
The refinery located in the northern state of Amazonas is sold to Ream Participações S.A. for USD189.5 million. Petrobras will receive USD28.4 million upfront with the rest paid when the deal closes.
On the other hand, the company’s Abreu e Lima (RNEST) refinery failed to sell and will stop the sale process to analyze the next steps. The REFAP, REGAP, LUBNOR, and SIX units are still trying to attract buyers, Petrobras said.
