According to Reuters article published on February 6, 2023, gas price cuts could be expanded to more businesses, the Polish prime minister said on Monday, after the government announced cuts for bakeries.
Mateusz Morawiecki said on Thursday that from April 1 until the end of 2023 bakeries will pay a reduced rate of 200.17 zlotys ($45.65) per megawatt hour (MWh), the same as the rate for households.
Asked if there was a chance that the lower prices would cover businesses other than bakeries Morawiecki said "Yes, I'm convinced that there is."
"It is precisely the intention to drive lower and lower gas prices for businesses," he added, "The new price proposals should soon reach businesses."
