India’s Reliance Industries, the world’s biggest refining complex operator in western Gujarat will shut down one of their crude refining units located in the export-focused plant. The shut off will be carried out in the fourth week of July, and will take 3-4 weeks to complete the maintenance. Other refining units will be operating at a normal rate during the maintenance period.
The company has two other equally sized crude distillation units, working at 704,000 barrel/day, aiming to the export market. The other refinery at the complex in Jamnagar can refine around 660,000 barrel/day crude is aimed at fulfilling local fuel demand.
