The company will invest EUR2.55 billion (USD2.96 billion) in hydrogen-producing projects for the upcoming nine years. Repsol will invest in the whole hydrogen value chain, targeting 1.9 GW of installed capacity, and become a leader of Spain and Portugal’s hydrogen market.
The company will include projects using different technologies such as electrolysis, biogas production, and photoelectrocatalysis in the plan.
The new plan showed an adjustment from the plan to spend EUR2.2-2.9 billion (USD2.55-3.36 billion) by 2026 for the same purpose.
