Repsol SA has selected Axens Vegan technology for its advanced biofuels facility in Spain at its Cartagena refinery.
The planned plant is targeted to produce 250,000 tpa of biodiesel, biojet, bionaphtha, and biopropane. It will be Repsol’s first production plant for advanced biofuels in Spain.
In the cooperation, Axen will provide process books, catalysts & adsorbents, proprietary equipment, trainings and technical services.
Vegan technology enables producers to comply with environmental regulations and proceed with energy diversification with premium quality products. The biofuel plant is part of Repsol’s commitment to be a net-zero carbon company in 2050.
