Following the second fire in a week, South Africa's Richards Bay Bulk Terminal is put on force majeure.
Late on Friday, operator Transnet did not elaborate on the extent to which exports of commodities such as coal, steel, and other minerals would be impacted.
Previously on Thursday, Transnet said that it was investigating the accident which affected the conveyor system and disrupted some operations. However, the cause of the fire is still unknown and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
