On Thursday, Russia’s oil pipeline company Transneft said that the company’s earnings in the first quarter of 2020 rose due to higher sales.
In the first three months of this year, net earnings climbed by 13% year-on-year to RUB56.7 billion (USD822 million). Revenues in the period inched up by 1.3% to RUB263.3 billion (USD3.8 billion).
In the first quarter, Transneft had paid RUB4.9 billion (USD71 million) to oil suppliers as compensation for the oil contamination incident in April 2019, it stated.
