- The trade turnover between the countries is growing continuously, the Deputy Prime Minister said
According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on November 1, 2022, Russia and Iran have discussed avenues of cooperation between the countries across almost all economic sectors, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters after the meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.
"We have discussed in detail key areas of our cooperation across almost all sectors - these are energy, transport, agriculture, industry, banking, science, education, healthcare, and many others," Novak said.
The trade turnover between the countries is growing continuously, the Deputy Prime Minister added. It surged by 45% over eight months of this year, he noted.
"Since our countries are exporters of hydrocarbons, oil and gas, then our cooperation rests in the first instance on other sectors - agriculture, construction materials, and the chemical industry," Novak added.
