Over the weekend, Russian gas flows via Yamal Pipeline towards Germany rose with no signs of being impacted by the political rift between the EU and Belarus.
On Saturday and Sunday, flows into Germany at the Mallnow metering point was at 10 million kWh. In comparison, on Friday, it was at 6.5 million kWh on average.
Exit flows at Mallnow were at zero, according to preliminary data from German network operator Gascade.
Previously on Thursday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko threatened that it could stop Russian gas flows through Belarus due to a dispute with the EU. Following the statement, spot gas prices were pushed up briefly.
However, the Kremlin was quick to warn Belarus back that such a move would risk harming ties between Minsk and its key ally Moscow.
