According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on October 19, 2022, the Russian stock market ended the trading session on Tuesday with the upward trend, according to Moscow Exchange data.
The MOEX Russia Index gained 0.97% to 2,032.4 points. The RTS Index added 1.16% to 1,039.76 points.
The dollar lost 0.07% to 61.58 rubles. The euro declined by 0.05% to 60.74 rubles.
Brent futures dropped by 2.7% to $89.16 per barrel. Gold prices edged down by 0.46% to $1,656.3 per Troy ounce.
"The Russian market can take a pause in growth and consolidate near achieved levels, considering oil price uncertainty and strong ruble," Alexander Bakhtin from BCS Investment World says.
The MOEX Russia Index is expected to be within 1,925-2,050 points tomorrow, according to BCS Investment World.
