A front end engineering and design (FEED) order secured by SK E&C for a large-scale propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant from Saudi Arabia.
With a joint venture company between SK Gas and Advanced Global Investment Co. (AGIC) of Saudi Arabia, a FEED contract has been signed by SK E&C for a PDH plant and utility and offsite facilities.
By removing hydrogen from propane gas, PDH is a process to produce propylene. For the petrochemical industry, propylene is one of the major basic materials.
This project, costs about US$7.55 million, is to carry out the FEED project for a large-scale PDH plant and utility infrastructure producing 843,000 tons of propylene in the Jubail Industrial Complex, 600 km northeast of Riyadh. The project expects six months to complete the basic engineering work.
