Author: SSESSMENTS

On Monday, Royal Dutch Shell Plc. had returned to normal operations of its 227,400 bpd Norco, Louisiana oil refinery, according to some sources familiar with plant operations.

The 240,000 bpd crude distillation unit (CDU), the 14,800 bpd alkylation unit, and the 40,000-bpd reformer in the refinery were restarted.

Previously, the reformer was shut for maintenance on September 8, the CDU, and the alkylation unit were shut on September 14 in preparation of Hurricane Sally. Later on, Shell decided to keep the two units offline for maintenance.
