Siemens Gas and Power GmbH & Co. KG won a contract in the Golden Pass LNG export terminal in Sabine Pass, Texas from CCZ JV, a joint venture (JV) between Chiyoda International Corp., McDermott International, and Zachry Group.
Siemens will provide three cryogenic boil-off gas (BOG) compressor trains for the terminal. It will cover the engineering, manufacturing, and testing of the three, single-shaft centrifugal BOG compression packages, along with all installation and commissioning activities.
Manufacturing, testing, and packaging will conduct in Duisburg, Germany.
Siemens also joined in a frame agreement to supply all low-voltage electric motors and electric variable speed drives (1 – 200 hp) and all medium- voltage (250 – 1,500 hp) electric motors.
Aside from the BOG compressor trains, the company will also supply steam turbine generator sets for the terminal.
The export facility is a JV between affiliates of Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil and will be integrated into the existing Golden Pass LNG import terminal.
