South Korean petrochemical producer SK Geo Centric (formerly SK Global Chemical) plans to use renewable naphtha to completely replace crude-based feedstock to produce around 3,000 tons/year of eco-friendly products at its manufacturing site in Ulsan. SK Geo Centric said the feedstock switch would begin in December 2021. CEO Na Kyung-soo said the move is part of the company’s push to become the leader in the eco-friendly product market. He also added that the use of renewable naphtha would help the company cut its carbon footprint.
