South Korea crude oil imports in August fell to 77.2 million barrels or 20.4% in year-on-year comparison, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy preliminary data shows. Final data is scheduled to be published later this month by Korea National Oil Corp (KNOC), a state-run oil company.
July’s 2020 actual import figures reached 86.4 million barrels, while August 2019, actual import figures was 97.1 million barrels.
In this data, the ministry doesn’t break down imports by origin country. Total July crude imports for South Korea is up to 86.4 million barrels, or 0.1% increase, as KNOC records showed.
