In the first quarter of 2020, Thailand refiner Bangchak Corp. PCL will cut run rates on its 120,000 bpd Bangkok refinery due to slow demand.
The company is processing 100,000-105,000 bpd of crude or 83-87.5% of the nameplate capacity, down from 2019 level. In the first quarter of last year, the company processed at 92% of capacity while in the fourth quarter at 97%.
The company did not respond to the question if it had cut run rates after the government’s measures to curb the coronavirus spread had damaged fuel demand in the country.
