Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd. and the Philippines’ First Gen Corp. will cooperate to construct a 5 million tpa liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Batangas City, Philippines.
The terminal will be facilitated with floating storage, regasification unit, a multi-purpose jetty, and gas receiving infrastructure. The two firms will jointly construct, operate, and maintain the terminal, with Tokyo Gas to have a 20% participating interest in the terminal.
The facility is planned to be ready for service in the second half of 2022.
