Energy giant TotalEnergies will double its production capacity on the Synova recycled polypropylene (PP) site in Normandy, France.
The decision would translate into doubling the company’s mechanical recycling production capacity for recycled polymers in France.
The expansion will add two new production lines which will enable Synova to produce close to 45,000 tpa of recycled PP using mechanical recycling methods.
The investment will contribute to TotalEnergies’ ambition for 2030 of producing 30% recycled and renewable polymers.
