According to the company’s website news release on February 15, 2023, Toyota would like to again apologize for the repeated adjustments to the production plan due to the spread of COVID-19 and shortages of parts such as semiconductors, and for causing considerable inconvenience to our customers who have been waiting for the delivery of vehicles, suppliers, and other parties concerned.
The planned global production volume for March is expected to be approximately 900,000 units (approx. 350,000 units in Japan and 550,000 units overseas).
The production forecast for the fiscal year was announced as 9.1 million units in the third quarter financial results, due in part to the recent impact of semiconductor parts and other factors.
The company will continue to carefully monitor the supply of semiconductors and other parts and work closely with related suppliers to consider all possible measures, with safety and quality as top priorities, in order to ensure that the company can deliver as many vehicles as possible to our customers at the earliest date.
The following is the revised domestic production suspension schedule for March.
