According to the company’s website press release on February 10, 2023, Toyota would like to express the deepest condolences to all those in the areas affected by the earthquake.
The company joins in mourning all of the lives lost. Directly following the earthquake, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye (TMMT) deployed a disaster response team to conduct search and rescue operations. Additionally, the company is supporting immediate needs including food, water, clothing and shelter through a total donation of EUR 1 million (of which Toyota Motor Corporation is contributing EUR 400,000).

Supporting Activities
Immediate response by local Toyota affiliates and partners includes
- Dispatching an earthquake rescue team (51 dispatched).
- Providing supplies to disaster victims (hygiene materials, blankets and water)
- Working closely with local NGOs (specializing in providing assistance in crisis situations.)
- A central fund was established for Toyota Europe affiliates and partners to pool donations for local NGOs.
