AlwaysFree: Traders Buy More Russian Oil After Hurricane Ida Hits US Supply

Trading houses, such as Trafigura, Vitol and Litasco, have booked around 5 million barrels or Russian Urals grade to be delivered to the US in September, market sources said, adding that this would be the strongest Urals delivery to the US. Urals emerged as a replacement grade for sour US crude, such as Mars, whose production was hit by Hurricane Ida. The sources also noted that European and Chinese buyers that usually import US crude were also seeking more Urals.
