AlwaysFree: Tsubame BHB Sign Joint Study Agreement With ADNOC To Conduct Joint Studies On Introduction Of Clean Ammonia

Author: SSESSMENTS

According to the company’s website press release on January 17, 2023, Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masahiro Watanabe; “Tsubame BHB”), which aims to achieve on-site ammonia production at small-scale plants using electride catalysts, has signed a Joint Study Agreement with ADNOC. This Agreement, which is intended to promote cooperation between Japan and the UAE in cutting-edge technology fields, is the first project to be undertaken based on the Japan-UAE Coordination scheme for Advanced Technology (JU-CAT), which was signed and established on the same day as the Joint Study Agreement by ministers from the two countries. This Agreement calls for joint business studies regarding the manufacture of clean ammonia using the UAE’s abundant renewable resources and Tsubame BHB’s technologies.

Strategies that emphasize clean energy growth are among the most notable of the strategies and policies put forward by the governments of the UAE and the individual emirates. Common elements of these strategies include reductions in greenhouse gases (GHG), promoting the use of solar power and other forms of renewable energy, reductions in energy consumption, and the use of innovations.

Combining the UAE’s renewable energy with Tsubame BHB’s ammonia manufacturing technologies could make it possible to manufacture clean ammonia, which will offer competitive prices in the future. The goal of Tsubame BHB and ADNOC is to undertake studies in the creation of business as a path toward making significant contributions to decarbonization in the energy and fertilizer fields.
