In August, Turkey’s energy import bill skyrocketed on the back of an increase in industrial output.
The bill soared by 104% year-on-year to USD4.36 billion.
The overall import bill, including energy and other commodities, mounted to USD23.17 billion. Energy made up 18.8% of the total figure.
Turkey’s crude imports surged by 52% year-on-year to 2.85 million tons.
