Turkey’s automakers have produced 415,454 vehicles including cars, tractors and other light commercial vehicles in January-May. The figures were dropped 35% year-on-year due to the Coronavirus global pandemic. 80% of these manufactured vehicles were shipped overseas, highlighting the decline of 38% year-on-year in the number of 331,391 units, in reason of many export markets are still on economic contraction and pandemic lockdowns. These exports totalled $9 billion, decreased by 33% year-on-year, but overall auto markets record growth to 189,188 vehicles, around 20% in the month of January-May.
