Turkey’s manufacturing capacity is up to 70.7% in July, as the capacity utilization rate (CUR) of the sector uplifted 4.7 percentage points month-by-month. The manufacturing capacity data was based on compilation of responses given to its business tendency survey by manufacturing industry’s local units, totalled in 1,749 companies' responses.
Amidst the six main industrial group, the highest capacity usage recorded was 73.3% by intermediate goods. On the other side of the line, non-durable consumer goods posted at the lowest rate by 66.9%. In the middle of more than 20 sectors, manufacturing paper and its products marked highest CUR with 81.1%, and lowest is by 50.8% for manufacturing leather products.
