Turkey’s central bank released data that Turkey’s manufacturing industry in August used 73.3% of its capacity, and the capacity utilization rate (CUR) of the sector up by 2.6 percentage points on a monthly basis according to the survey. The survey figures are based on responses given to business tendency by local units operating in the manufacturing industry, with a respondent of 1,761 companies.
From six main industrial groups, the highest capacity usage was 75.2% in the durable consumer goods, and non-durable consumer goods showing lower figures showing the lowest rate with 68.94%.
The highest CUR in August was shown in manufacturers of wood and wood and cork products (exclude furniture) with 83.8%, and the lowest posted CUR was in the leather products manufacturers with 58.1%.
