Turkey’s trade minister announced that the country hit an all-time high export figure in September, $16.01 billion, as its September exports rose 4.8% in year-on-year comparison and spiked 28.5% compared to previous month, Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan said. The export figures also hiked 34.5% in Q3 2020 from the previous quarter.
Trade minister said that these export figures confirm that Turkey’s normalization and recovery from its pandemic are continuing successfully.
At the same time, the country’s import in September raked a total of $20.89 billion, with 89.3% of the total figures accounted for raw materials and capital goods.
In 2020 so far, Turkey’s exports totalled $118.35 billion while imports are $156.24 billion, the trade minister added.
