According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on November 9, 2022, the government of the United Kingdom has issued a general license authorizing financial transactions for supplies of Russian fertilizers to third countries, the Department of International Trade said on Wednesday.
The license applies to "ammonium nitrate, including fertilizers and fertilizer blends containing more than 15% by weight ammonium nitrate, except liquid fertilizers (containing any amount of ammonium nitrate) or dry fertilizers containing less than 15% by weight ammonium nitrate" and "ammonia in aqueous solution."
The department pointed out that the license, effective Wednesday, applies only if the fertilizer is purchased for agricultural use.
