AlwaysFree: Ukrainian Industrial Output Fell 37% In 2022 - State Statistics Committee

According to Interfax article published on March 27, 2023, industrial output in Ukraine fell 36.9% in 2022 after growing 1.9% in 2021, Ukrainian media reported, quoting the State Statistics Committee.

Output fell 44.1% year-on-year in December, 41.9% in November and 41.6% in October.

The biggest drop of last year was 53.7% in March. Industry had grown 2.9% year-on-year in January and fallen 10.1% in February. The decline slowed to 46.6% in April. The trend continued over the summer and output fell 34.9% in August and 39.8% in September. The decline steepened after that due to damage to energy infrastructure.

Output fell 41.2% in 2022 in manufacturing, 30.1% in mineral extraction and 30.7% in power, gas and steam utilities.

The smallest drops in mineral extraction were 7.7% for coal and 8.4% for oil and gas, while output fell 61.7% in metal ore extraction and 75.1% for other minerals and quarrying.
