On Thursday, Valero Energy Corp.’s CEO Joe Gorder said that the company’s combined refinery utilization in the third quarter of 2020 rose to 80%.
He added that the increase was driven by the ease of coronavirus-related restriction which in turn lifted demand.
In the previous quarter, Valero’s 15 refineries posted a 74% utilization rate.
