On Thursday, some Gulf Coast market sources said that Total SA’s production at its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, was down to 70% of its 225,000 bpd capacity.
The reduction happened in the operating level of the large crude distillation unit (CDU). According to the sources, the reduction was due to improve the efficiency of the unit’s heater.
