- A Chinese trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM that coming to Monday morning, April 13, China’s futures market remains on a positive note. Moreover, formula prices for Iranian cargoes have moved up between $30-40/ton following the higher market prices last week. As such, the trader opined that this week’s final prices for PE will be higher than last week. Demand-wise, China market continues in an uptrend as buyers have started to secure some materials after an absence for about two months coupled with the rebound in crude oil prices. However, the trader opined that the uptrend in prices would not last for a long time if the demand for the converters’ finished products to the export market remains slow.
- In the import market, offers for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 of Thailand origin increased by $150/ton and $80/ton, respectively compared to last week’s level. Despite the limited supply for these grades at the producer’s end, the offers are deemed too high by buyers; hence, no deals concluded yet.
