- As of Tuesday, July 14, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that September 2020 LLDPE prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange posted a slight decrease of CNY25/ton ($3.5/ton) as observed at 1.29 PM (GMT+8), open at CNY7,300/ton ($1,043/ton) by morning trading session. On the supply front, market sources reported that the inventory level of the two leading Chinese polyolefins producers decreased by 20,000 tons from Monday’s level, recorded at 720,000 tons as of Tuesday morning.
- In the import market, a Thai polyolefins producer contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team on July 14 revealed that the company managed to sell some volume of HDPE Film to the China market last week. The lowest deals were concluded at $910/ton on FOB Thailand basis or around $930/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis.
