- A global trading house reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the leading Saudi polyolefins producer and Qatari PE producer has already closed the offers last week. As such, at the moment the producers have no offers. The fresh offers are expected to be announced after the Labor holiday. From the source’s end, the company has successfully sold a small quantity of US HDPE Film between $700-710/ton and LLDPE Film C4 at $680/ton, all on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis. For domestic PE prices, the offers remain stable as the market is already on holiday mood. The source predicts that starting from today, market activities will be limited.
- On the supply front, SSESSMENTS.COM was told that the inventory at two leading Chinese polyolefins producers has increased by 5,000 tons from yesterday. At the moment, the inventory level captured at 775,000 tons. After the Labor Day holiday, the inventory predicted to accumulate up to 950,000 tons to 1 million tons.
