- An Indonesian converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the deals for US LLDPE Film C4 were concluded at $670/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main port basis, which is $30/ton lower from the initial offer level and the cargoes will be shipped directly from the US. While for Saudi HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4, the offers are available at $705/ton and $700/ton respectively with the same payment and delivery term. The converter opined that the offers for Middle Eastern cargoes will not go below $650/ton-level as producers will prefer to shut the company’s plant rather than selling the cargoes at such a low level. Pertaining to the market condition, the domestic market remains quiet as Coronavirus pandemic still looms over.
- Meanwhile, in Vietnam, a converter stated to SSESSMENTS.COM the production activity at the company’s end is still running at a normal rate. The company usually purchased 7,000 tons of PE cargoes per month while the total output of finished products is around 8,500 a month. In terms of offers, the converter has yet to receive fresh offers for import Middle Eastern cargoes this week.
