Adjustments of up to a hundred dollar captured on import PE offers to the Indonesia market, SSESSMENTS.COM noted. Early this week, an Indonesian converter reported on receiving import offers for LLDPE Film C4, LLDPE Film C6, and mLLDPE C6 of various origins. From Saudi, offers for LLDPE Film C4 cargoes had slightly increased by $10/ton. While for LLDPE Film C4 of US origin, the offers surfaced with notable increases of between $60-70/ton. For US LLDPE Film C6 cargoes, the offers skyrocketed as much as $100/ton. Likewise, import offers for mLLDPE C6 of Singapore origin were hiked by $70/ton. All price changes compared to early June.
At the moment, the converter is still contemplating whether to secure some volumes or not. Particularly for LLDPE Film C4 cargoes of Canada origin, although the offers are the lowest among others, the converters undoubtedly will skip the cargoes due to long lead-time. SSESSMENTS.COM was told that the Canadian cargo is expected to arrive in Indonesia around August.
Last week, the converter received import offers from a global trading house for LLDPE Film C4 of Thailand origin at $840/ton-level but has yet to receive any fresh offers this week. In the local market, the converter also has not received new offers from the largest local trading house in the country. Further added by the converter to SSESSMENTS.COM, starting from July, the Singaporean producer reportedly will cater demand in the China market by themself, especially for mLLDPE grades. According to the converter, the producer was previously taking cargoes from the US plant to fulfil customers’ needs.
