An Indonesian trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM on selling out all import PE cargoes of the Middle East and US origin, on the contrary with PP cargoes. This week, the trader reportedly has sold out all allocation for LLDPE Film C4 of the Middle East and US origin to Indonesia market. Upon the sold-out achievement, the trader has yet to check with the Middle Eastern producer whether the company still has remaining cargoes or not. At the moment, demand for PE resins on their end is quite strong. Additionally, offers for import HDPE Film cargoes remain absent from the trader’s side, citing that the trader is unable to secure some volume from the Taiwanese producer as the material is already sold out.
Unlike PE, no deals were concluded for import PP cargoes so far. Currently, Middle Eastern producers are mostly offering PP Homo Raffia at above $900/ton-level. Following suit, the trader is also offering PP Homo Raffia cargoes of Middle East origin at $920-930/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis, or around $40-50/ton higher than two weeks ago. Likewise, July shipment offers for Indian PP Homo Raffia cargoes are available at the same level as Middle Eastern cargoes. Further added to SSESSMENTS.COM, offers for import Singaporean PP Block Copolymer had increased by $20/ton from last week’s level.
