A source with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that AGC Chemical Vietnam has taken its PVC plant off-stream since April 7. According to the source, the company’s 150,000 tons/year PVC plant will be shut until April 21 for around two weeks of maintenance work. However, the source highlighted that it could be longer, depending on the market situation and the maintenance process.
The producer also added that there will be disruption on the shipment due to the turnaround maintenance at PVC plant, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. Partial shipment for April will face a delay as the company only has some buffer stock during the maintenance, but insufficient to cover all of customers orders. Further added by the source, there will be some tightness in the allocations, hence shipment scheduled in May also will be postponed.
