A source with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Iran’s Amir Kabir Petrochemical (AKPC) will conduct maintenance at its HDPE plant on May 5, 2020, for 21 days. Located in Bandar Imam Khomeini (BIK), Khouzestan, Iran, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 140,000 tons/year. Further added, the company’s downstream units consist of 140,000 tons/year of HDPE, 300,000 tons/year LDPE, and 260,000 tons/year of LLDPE. The company also operates an olefin unit which can produce 520,000 tons/year of ethylene and 154,000 tons/year of propylene.
