SSESSMENTS.COM’s team noted that the April shipment offers from a Thai PVC producer to Bangladesh have been adjusted further and meet the market expectations. This week, the trader received April shipment offers for ethylene-based PVC from a Thai producer at $50/ton lower than the offer received a week earlier. “We are unsure of the reason why the producer reduces the offers. However, buyers in Bangladesh indeed expecting for lower prices, even below $800/ton-level,” the trader stated. So far, the trader managed to sell around 700 tons at the same level to the initial offer received from the producer.
Further added to SSESSMENTS.COM, the situation in Bangladesh is becoming more alarming and starting from Thursday, March 26, the government plans to start a lockdown in the country. Regarding the outlook, the trader opined that there is a possibility to see import PVC offers to move even lower.
