NewsSSESSMENTS: Despite Ongoing Difficulties In Concluding Deals, Thai PE Producer Adjusted Latest Import Offers To China Following Market Trends

Author: SSESSMENTS

SSESSMENTS.COM noted that a Thai PE producer adjusted the latest import offers to China following market trends. As informed, the producer decided to increase offers for HDPE Film between $20-30/ton, available at $930/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port Basis. Similarly, offers for HDPE Pipe surfaced with an increase of $30/ton. The current offer stands at $960/ton on the same payment and delivery term. All price changes are compared to last week.

This week, the producer does not have offers for LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. The producer acknowledged facing difficulties in concluding deals as buyers feel the offer levels are too high, however, at the time of publication, there are some deals secured by the Thai producer. On top of that, spot trading activity in China gradually cools down because of the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival on June 25-26. Market players will be away from their desks during the mentioned period and will return on June 29. In the domestic market, prices remain firm at the moment due to the low inventory level at the two leading polyolefins producers in the country.
