As stated to SSESSMENTS.COM, an Indian PVC producer has adjusted up their local offers amid rising demand. After more than a month under lockdown, domestic PVC demand in India has started to turn around as most converters are running low on inventory level and have started to secure some volumes to cover up production. Triggered by the improved domestic situation, some local producers were attempting to raise their offers recently.
In response to the uptrend in the domestic market, the producer also applied a price increase of INR2,000/ton ($26/ton) for local PVC offers with effect from May 28, 2020. The latest offers from the producer are available at INR69,000/ton ($915/ton) on cash, EXW Cuddalore basis and excluding 18% GST. with done deals achieved at the initial offer level. On the production sector, the producer is planning to run at maximum capacity following the improvement in demand.
