A trader based in Singapore informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Indonesian PVC cargoes gain positive responses from regional buyers. As reported, August shipment offers for ethylene-based PVC cargoes from the leading Indonesian PVC producer surged by $30-40/ton on the monthly comparison. The latest offers are available at $810-820/ton on LC at sight, CIF Southeast Asia Main Port basis, with done deals achieved at the same level to the initial offers. While for another origin, market talks have it that South Korean PVC cargoes are available at $810/ton on the same payment and delivery terms.
According to the trader, despite the increment, offers from the leading Indonesian PVC producer gain positive responses from buyers as the current price level is quite competitive compared to PVC offers from other origins. Moreover, the allocation from the producer for August shipment is limited, which encourages buyers to secure the cargoes immediately, SSESSMENTS.COM was told.
